Guest guest
I recently went for my regular check-up and saw Dr Ellis [associate of Chapman]. Apparently I interest him as I have a low count of immuno globulin in my blood and he wants to do further tests. We also discussed an urticaria episode I had around 5 years ago [which has since gone] and various unexplained allergies/hives I have experienced throughout my life. Has anyone else had any tests for this, and if so what has the outcome been? I am a bit confused, any help would be greatly appreciated. Guest guest
I don't really have any information, but I am currently having a terrible episode with urticaria which has continued since August. They tested my immuno globulin levels and they were normal. I have been referred to an allergist but my appointment isn't until Sept! If you receive any good information/advice, could you please pass it my way? Thanks, a Sylvan Lake, Canada PSC '03 low immuno globulin/allergies I recently went for my regular check-up and saw Dr Ellis [associate of Chapman]. Guest guest
Hi Kym; My guess is that Dr. Ellis may be looking into the possibility that you might have a deficiency of immune globulin A (IgA), which can result in allergies and autoimmune diseases: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/001476.htm Did he mention immune globulin A (IgA)?
