From Suzanne’s grandma:

“all good news - As far

as the surgeon is concerned it could not have gone anymore perfectly. It was definitely not Crohn’s and

they were able to attach the J pouch and she is disease free.”

Barb,

Thank you for keeping everyone here updated. I wanted to clarify something for the group - when my Mom (grandma) wrote that it wasn't crohn's she was referring to it "definitely" (as far as they can tell) is Ulcerative colitis. If you remember, there has always been the question as to whether it was UC or Crohn's. The surgeon told us that if he went in and it was Crohn's he would stop the surgery so my Mom was excited to report that it wasn't Crohn's and the surgery continued. I hope this did not cause any confusion.

Thank you to those of you that have posted on Suzanne's site, and a great big thank you to this group - without this group there are so many things I would not have known about (the caringbridge site being one of them).
