In terms washing your hair post op, my husband bought this wonderful no

rinse shampoo that you can just pour into a spray bottle and spritz on

your hair - then just rub it out with a towel. When I had my first

surgery I had long hair and I couldn't stand not having it washed - so he

painstakingly washed it section by section for me. When it came to the

second surgery, we decided that there had to be a better way. We found

this at a Sally Beauty Supply store and its simply named " No Rinse

Shampoo " - it's in the section where they keep stuff for the

elder/infirmed folks - it's good stuff. In terms of hats, I found that

Walmart has inexpensive summer hats ($3-5 each) in a variety of colors.

I'm not a hat person, but these worked out fine for a temporary solution.

After a while, I sort of got the attitude that I didn't really care if

people saw the incision.

I have too many other things to think about.

Good Luck to you.
