Guest guest
Just calculate for 10 equal meals. Use one meal for the snack and multiply by 3 to get the regular meals. I don't have the planner, but it shouldn't matter if you use food values to 0.1 gram. That is good enough. The food itself is going to vary more than that. Again it shouldn't matter if the meals are calculated to whole number grams. You can't really measure any better than that. You may be able to modify the program somehow to get more decimal points. Maybe ask some kid to help you? Guest guest
You can put in a number like " 3.3 " for the number of meals per day, and use your total calories for the day. Maybe an easier way is to simply treat each meal and snack on it's own. Simply put in " 1 " for the number of meals per day, and put in the calories and protein for that meal or snack. This is what we have done from the beginning. The only numbers that really count are the ones at the bottom. Watch your ratio, calories, and amount of protein. If those 3 numbers are right on, the fat and carbs will automatically be right. For your second and third issues, you CAN use .1 gram accuracy when creating meals, and .01 gram accuracy for the food values. If you type them in that way, they will be correctly calculated, even though they don't display with that accuracy. There is a simple change to make them display to that accuracy, though. Here are the steps for the meal plan. 1) Go to Tools>Protection and unprotect the worksheet. 2) Click on the cell that you want .1 g accuracy for 3) Go to Format>Cells and you'll see a window labeled " Type " . Select " 0.0\g " from that list. That's it! I would create one meal sheet that had all of these changes, then re-protect the worksheet. Now, use this as your template for all future meals. As far as the Food values displaying to .01 accuracy, you basically do the same thing, though you'll have to change the cell format from " general " to " Number " (with 2 decimal places). Let me know if you need any help with this. - meal planner help neded I finally installed Excel on my computer and Stansford(sp) meal planner. It looks like very easy to use but I have a problem.ph eats 3 meals and 1 bed time snack ( 30% of meal). The planner only offer # of meals which has to be equal.Another problem is ph's meals are calculated to 0.1 gramm and the meal planner uses only whole numbers,we also calcualte food values to 0.01 gramm and meal planners only uses 0.1 gramm.Does anybody know how to modify the program ,change formula or something? Guest guest
doh! Disregard the first sentence in the previous message. That doesn't make any sense. That just divides the total calories by 3.3 which wouldn't do anything useful. Sorry... meal planner help neded I finally installed Excel on my computer and Stansford(sp) meal planner. Guest guest
Natasha, If only the food values were that accurate! You should try to be as accurate as possible, of course. How do you mean, 2 separate sheets? How do you calculate them?
