If you're working out in cold weather, be sure to protect yourself by warming up properly, not overexerting, and wearing clothing with insulating properties that hold in heat but allow moisture to escape. Many thin layers are better at keeping the body warmer, than one or two thick layers. Wearing a warm cap, and putting a warm scarf around your neck, mouth and nose, can also help keep you warmer. People with Raynaud's should avoid extreme cold temperatures, and stay indoors. If you have to get out, be sure and carry a water bottle with you and have extra blankets in the car. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Flu Season: A military study revealed that washing one's hands at least five times per day could dramatically reduce illness. In the two-and-a-half-year study conducted by the navy, a hand-washing program reduced by 45% the number of visits that naval recruits made to the infirmary for respiratory illnesses. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Much Love, Deanna LUPUS Serenity Prayer...
