Hi- guys! I had MBG on Friday 3-31... I am in a lot of pain. I came home

on Saturday 4-1-00. Dr. R says that I did perfect- but I am still in some

pain. Just on one side! PLEASE continue praying for me! One good thing...

I have lost 7 lbs! YAY! I know that this too shall pass... but I wish it

would pass a little quicker! :o) Did any one else go through this!?!?!?!

Are you taking the pain meds that Dr. R prescribed? I took Celebrex every 8

hours whether I was in " Pain " or not for the first several days. I

understand that pain management is most successful if you medicate prior to

the pain being full blown.

Wishing you well,

Hi ,

I think what you have is the effects of the gas used to inflate your abdomen

during the surgery. My advice is walk, walk, walk. I asked an RN friend of

mine about this gas stuff and she is the one that said walking is the only

way to get rid of it. I'm glad that the stress of getting the surgery is

over for you. You have a healthy life to look forward to. I'm looking

forward to my surgery on the 17th.

, I had the pain under my left rib cage and when I was in the hospital I

was in so much pain I kept telling them I think I have a leak somewhere. In

the hospital I walked and walked and walked but it didn't help. It did

finally go away about a week after surgery. Hang in there and you will be

fine. Liz Oh by the way congrats on the weight loss.

Hi , so glad you are home. Give yourself some time to recover.

Everybody is different. A friend of mine had lap gallbladder and she had

horrific pains from the gas when they expanded her abdomen. You just had

major surgery sweetie. Take some medicine and go lay down and let your

family wait on you for a few days. :-) < >

Definitely! Dr. R said my surgery went great, but I was in a lot of

pain for a few days. I had surgery on 3/27/00. I also had some

weakness, but I took extra naps. It did gradually get better & I went

back to work today & have felt pretty good. Still have that pain in

the left side & hick-ups really get my attention (ouch), but that,

too, is getting better each day. I'm still glad I did this.

Hang in there & take it as easy as you need to. I hope you get

feeling better real quick.
