Guest guest
I made yoghurt yesterday and accidentally used only 1/2 the appropriate amount of yoghurt starter (yogourmet) . Does this mean the yoghurt will only have 1/2 the amount of the " good stuff " in it? I've been making the yoghurt for awhile and mostly have been using it for the pancake, muffin and bread recipes. My daughter is just now beginning to accept eating a little bit of it fresh mixed w/ some banana. Should I dump it and make a fresh batch? Unfortunately, the answer is yes, you should dump it You don't have enough bacteria in it to break all the lactose so the end result will be leftover lactose and less bacteria than if you started with the appropriate amount of starter.
