Guest guest
Hello,it's me again.I have some concerns about my daughter drinking juice.I had always read that juices especially grape, apple&pear fed yeast.Tess was drinking rice milk before the diet but I also gave her florastor (digests yeast & bacteria)but now Tess is pushing on her eyes again and hanging upside down which she hasn't done for a long time!Should I consider taking Tess off of fruit juices for awhile? There is reference in BTVC about waiting awhile to eat honey if yeast is a problem could it be the same with juice? Also I was wondering if I can use powdered goat's milk to make the yogurt. It is by Meyenburg. There is nothing in the ingredient list to make me think I can't use it. Lane mom of Tess ASD SCD 6 days
Guest guest
Lane, Is is possible that your daughter is sensitive to phenols? If she is sensitive to phenols drinking juice could have negative behavioral effects on her. How much juice are you giving a day and are you watering it down by 50%? Guest guest
Jody G. At one time she was sensitive to soy, bananas but I give her sulfur so that helps but maybe I have overdone it.She has excessive thirst like alot of ASD kids so I don't want to deprive her.It is very hard to give her water (she doesn't like it)but I guess it might be what it will take. She does drink quite abit.I am diluting the juice 50/50. I just remember what Elaine Gottschall said at an AutismOne conference the everything we eat contains a benzene ring.Everything has phenols.I know from testing she has high arabinose levels and since I started giving her the juices the bumps all over her arms, legs, face got bigger and multiplied.I discontinued the florastor for the diet to get true results from diet but maybe her yeast is so bad I need to continue with the florastor. Guest guest
Lane, You didn't answer how much juice she's getting per day. How much liquid is she drinking per day and what is her age? Jody mom to -6 and -8 SCD 26 months
