OK...I want to know WHY y'all didn't force me to make these years ago when it was first posted?????????

I just died and went to heaven!!!

They are AWESOME (and I don't use that word!). How do they keep...freeze?

Ok, everybody...go to your kitchens right now and make a batch...you'll never eat regular eggs again!

And I used vanilla flavor whey protien (anything SOY makes me swell up like a stuffed sausage) and Morton's Natures Seasoning for spice. I could NOT taste the vanilla.

It's like Christmas morning here right now...WOW.

Do these have an eggy/quiche taste? I have so far ignored this recipe, but all the raving makes me want to try them. I just can't stand anything eggy tasting though, so need to know that first!

So, , once you review them, and they pass your non-eggy/non-quiche taste test, then =I= will make them :-)

Oh, uhm, well, but not to put any pressure on you *to* make them, of course ;-)

Marlena, SURELY another egg hater on the list has been brave enough to try these. (Please someone, step up here and save me! lol) I really want to be scarfing these babies down, assuming there is none of that offending eggy taste, so c'mon....tell give us egg haters the truth! : )

Haha I know, i felt just like that when I made them. Breakfast is so

easy and fun now. Although I suppose I'll get sick of them soon...

well, maybe not soon .

I freeze them and nuke them for 2-3 minutes in the morning.

And you do know they're very versatile, right? You can put anything

in them... amazing.

I used vanilla soy protein powder and couldn't taste the vanilla

either.

:)

I'm another egg hater, and I haven't made these either, although I can eat

quiche if it has a LOT of cheese in it to hide the egg taste, I'm dying to

try these though......., let us know how they turn out when YOU make

them!

Okay, ... I'll wait for YOU to make them since I could have written that

exact post you wrote!

I've made something similar and hated it... but it didn't have the bake

mix/flour/whatever in it. I don't want to waste more meat and eggs in trying

these sausage muffins that everyone is raving about but I do want to try

them because, well, ya know, everyone is raving about them! hahahaha.

Well, with the recipe I had it called for 12 eggs and it made 19

muffins for me (nice sized ones). It was very similar to the recipe

posted by Vered though. I had a major brain fart when I read the

recipe and thought it said one POUND of grated cheese rather than one

CUP (hahaha) So, while I didn't put in the full pound (I realized my

error after putting in about a half to 3/4 pound) I did get a LOT of

cheese. So, you can always add more, if you like :) DH and FIL went

nuts for them, but they both really like eggs (as do I) so I am not a

good one to ask. Just thought I'd suggest adding more cheese if you

like. They still turned out fine :)

, I didn't try them for the longest time for the

same reason. We tried them last night for dinner and

I used half soy flour/half almond meal. They actually

have a bready consistency. We really enjoyed them!

Hmmm.....ok, this is what I wanted to hear. Now, could someone please repost the less eggy of the recipes?? Thanks!

Well, I figured if you were trying to get ME to eat something eggy, you may as well be trying to get JEAN to eat it! : )

Hi Gang,

I'm back but mostly lurking right now. I was so busy with our conference for which I was program co-chair that things have really fallen behind at the office. Anyway, I am happy to report that while I didn't eat great at the conference, I did try to eat better which is a step in the right direction. I brought some pumpkin muffins that are fairly low carb, though not induction, with me as well as some meat and cheese. Every morning's breakfast was rolls, fresh fruit and juices. This time I didn't share a room with anyone else, so I just had breakfast in my room before heading to any of the meetings and that at least got me off on the right foot. The good news is that I didn't gain any weight! Usually the conferences add at least a couple of pounds.

Now, to the topic at hand, I am the known egg-hater on the list and I would like to say to and Marlena that I have never even considered making the sausage muffins because, well, I HATE eggs. The thought alone just makes me lose my appetite. Now there is a diet plan that would work for me. Before I could cheat I would have to eat 2 eggs cooked as eggs instead of into something edible or even yummy. I would stay on track so well if I lived with that rule. But hey, if you try them and like them in spite of hating eggs, let us know. Just don't ask me to be the guinea pig.

Jean!!!!

You have to try these...they are GREAT. just load them up with cheese, onion, green pepper, and you'll never know they were eggs.

Glad to see you...wondered where you were since I got bak. Hugs,

Hi Nan,

It is always so nice when you come back from your way-too-long visits to Minnesota. I miss your posts when you are gone, and it's nice to hear you missed me too. I know all of you think these sausage muffins are wonderful, and maybe they are, but I just can't get past all those eggs in the ingredients. However I do have some wonderful uses for the Atkins rolls and the custard/flan stuff isn't bad. But these just sound too much like a quiche to me. I shudder just thinking about it. My motto: " You gotta hate 'em, the incredible inedible eggs!"

You are right, Marlena, some things will never change. My attitude about

eggs is one of them. There are a lot of things that I would do for you

guys, trying eggs is not one of them. It is great to be back, but you

shouldn't have brought up the subject of eggs. I need to get some more of

this work off my desk! LOL

Ya know, I just thought of something... you wouldn't be eating eggs, Jean,

they're just an ingredient, like eggs are an ingredient in cake. And you'd

eat cake, now wouldn't you?

I've decided that I'm going to make these sausage muffins... but first I

have to get some sausage! hahahaah
