Guest guest
Teri...I know you can turn this around. And even if you just manage to fit a few good days of healthy eating in during this really rough holiday season, you'll reap the benefits: 1) You'll keep losing weight - and you've already made great progress! 2) You won't feel that familiar sickness we've all had when we've eaten rich foods 3) You won't have that depressing feeling on Jan. 1, everyone's traditional going-on-a-new-diet day. Every effort helps...remember, progress, not perfection!
Guest guest
Hi, Leanne! Mom always baked a gazillion Christmas cookies, and I've always done the same. Friends and family almost expect it at this point, and I'd feel like Scrooge if I didn't. And you ask such a good question. It is tempting, which is why I have to pack up those cookies the minute they're cooled. I decide all the recipients in advance and bake accordingly, so as not to bake too many or too few. As long as they're packed up, I won't get into them. It would be like stealing cookies from friends and family " Can I just ask a question?.....I keep reading in your posts about quite a few of you guys baking cookies.....is this a tradition in the states to bake cookies at Christmas time? I can see this would be very tempting if it is. Anyway take care and have a great day!.........Leanne "
Guest guest
get it out of the house!!! this is the only way that in the winter i am able to control my eating is to not bring it in the house. i have done really really well this year and havne't slipped too much, only when i was sick. when there's a get together and you bring something bring something healthy. we just had food day and someone brought fruit salad, someone brought salad, there are a lot of people who are watching it and i bet if you organize a get together and ask for people to at least somewhat watch what they bring it will be okay. the cookies i've received i've taken to my mom's so i don't have them in the house, and they can enjoy them too. this way i only have them when i go let their dogs out during the day. and i limit myself to two. the cookies i baked are in a metal tin on top of my fridge, i don't know how i haven't eaten more but i've only eaten two in four days. i think i'm in a habit. yeah. you will get there, but you will get there too. you just need your friends and family support as well besides just your friends here. just make sure they're aware of you trying and they'll help you too. my family we've all kind of been working together and have been trying to bring healthier stuff to the get togethers and the not so good stuff we've been bringing less of. > > I don't know what's wrong with me. I am out of control. Ever since Thanksgiving I have not been following my program. I am slacking off on my exercise and I am eating all the wrong stuff all the time. Even as I sit there and shove the junk in my mouth my brain is saying " that's not right, your're not suppose to eat that " I can't seem to stop. I am eating to point of sickness. This seems to happen to me every year. I was doing so well and I really don't want my progress to stop. I have to get control of myself. I know what I have to do and I just have to DO IT! I can do this, I can do this! > > Thanks for listening, I feel a little better now that I got that out in the open. > > > > > Teri > > 205/183/140 5ft'7in > > " I am what I am today, because of the decisions I made yesterday "

Guest guest
yes it's a tradition for some families....it's of course not something everyone does, but is a tradition for a lot of families. > Can I just ask a question?.....I keep reading in your posts about quite a few of you guys baking cookies.....is this a tradition in the states to bake cookies at Christmas time? Guest guest
What other traditions do you guys do for Christmas? What kinds of foods do you eat for Christmas dinner? Just curious........... In Australia the traditional Christmas dinner is Turkey,Ham, Chicken, roast potatoes, vegies and gravy. Then for sweets we have plum pudding, custard, pavlova, trifle and ice cream. But it's really an English tradition, I think.(hot food) Many people, me included, have a cold meal instead of hot because it is summer here. We still have turkey, ham and chicken but it is cold and we have lots of different salads with it. Most people still have the different sweets as well. Sea food is also very popular here for Christmas dinner. You will find a lot of old people will still have the traditional hot dinner and some have both.......... Before I go I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and I hope all your dreams come true for the New Year. Just incase I don't get a chance later on. Take care and stay safe............Leanne jennifer bodaddiesbaby@...> wrote:yes it's a tradition for some families....it's of course not something everyone does, but is a tradition for a lot of families. > Can I just ask a question?.....I keep reading in your posts about quite a few of you guys baking cookies.....is this a tradition in the states to bake cookies at Christmas time? Guest guest
In my family we have a turkey on Christmas eve mashed potatoes..veggies..and the table is loaded with cookies..breads and candy. On christmas day we have Ham baked, baked beans, potaote salad veggies. Table is still loaded with cookies ect ect. My dad's family thou they have something different all the time. Especialy his dad. I have ham, turkey, streak, prime rib. It changes all the time. I think here it is prety traditional to have some type of large meat like a ham or turkey since many people get together in large parties and family get togethers. Guest guest
Catalina... I agree so much about having that wagon stop a minute, so I can put that last candy bar or cookie into my mouth. I feel the tummy getting bigger and bigger and it disgusting! denvermusicplus denvermusicplus@...> wrote:Oh, hon, I am with you! I just want someone to give me a big kick in the booty, before the booty gets bigger! And I don't even have all sorts of functions or family stuff to sidetrack me, I'm doing it all by myself! Maybe we should start a phone tree or something... I know we can all do this, but I seem to want the wagon to wait a minute so I can stuff another candy bar in my mouth.
