Hallie Re: Diet Success It is so good to hear of people having success with the diet. Might it be an idea to have a sort of 'hall of fame' on the shared files where for those who want to, you could post a picture of your keto kid (if you so choose), with some statistics underneath which indicate eg age now, age started diet, how long on meds before diet started, when started diet, which sort of diet using, where in the world based, when your child achieved success (however you choose to measure that) Something like this might give hope to those thinking about starting the diet, or going through a particularly bad time and thinking of giving up. What do others think? Guest guest
Deb, When he had the EEG he had some seizures that showed only on the EEG but they didn't affect the whole brain as before. He was not having seizures that we could see. The doctor upped his Lamictal and he takes Depakote still. A week after he started having little spacey seizures for a few seconds but his mom thought he was doing better focusing in school. The doctor took his levels of Depakote and thought it was okay. They also took the Lamictal levels and it has been a week and we are waiting for the results. He has a little fever also so he may have gotten a little cold or something. My ideas are to take him back to the first lamictal level and see how he is but my daughter thinks we should not change anything until we get results back from the doctor. His mom is staying home with him today as he is sleeping in. His appetite has been down also. How is Matt? Hallie Re: Hallie Hi Hallie Hows Tanner ? Guest guest
Deb, I think they are absence seizures and they didn't lower the meds. They upped the lamictal. His appetite is picking up now so maybe he is on the mend a little. Hallie Re: Hallie Hi Hallie Hows Tanner ?
