Guest guest
Hi I'm new in this chat. I have a 6 year old daughter, diag. at birth with a bowel blockage. She has a med-port. She HAD a g-tube but got it out a year ago. Traci is on TOBI, Albuterol, and Pulmozyme. She goes in for tune ups about every six months. We try to schedule them around the holidays. She also takes Cipro and Bactrim as needed. My burning question is once a CFer is diag. with Psudo. isn't always there? Also I heard that the new fabric spray, Fabreeze has Psuedo in it. Also some liquid soaps have it too. Lynette, Mom and Elementary Teacher, in Florida to 10w/ocf and Traci 6w/cf
Guest guest
Hi Lynette, Welcome to the list. I am sure you will find a lot of support and information here. I can't answer your question on Pseudomonas but I am sure somebody will. I hesitate because I am still learning so much about it....I do know there are two forms: non-mucoid, and mucoid. We will find out this week if our son, Elliot, is positive for it after treatment with Tobi. Once again, welcome to the list. Guest guest
Pseudumones can hide and not multiply as much due to TOBI. I also know there is a clinical study going on using Zithromax to help with Pseudo is anyone on it? In regard to the age with TOBI, the Pulm put Jack on TOBI for a few days after sinus surgery and he was 11 months old.
