My son Cadenjust came home from the hospital, thursday after

starting the diet, he was sick some in the hospital but did ok.I

cant belive the portions on the food, i feel like iam starving him,

i know i have to think of the results if the diet works. He looks so

tired and he did of course loose weight, is this phase going to

pass, the tiredness, ihope so . And when you start looking at the

menues the dietician gives you, it really just isnt that much .I

know iam very new to this , any good meal plans out there , or any

advice on the diet Please...cadens mom Viola .

When people see Lily's portions they are shocked, they are so small.

Nevertheless, her weight is stable (she gained a litte at first). She

is 39 pounds, 38 inches tall and 3 years old. She is on 875 calories

and 3.5:1 ratio. Don't worry, you are not starving him. The ketosis

will suppress his appetite and the diet is filling because of the high

fat. Lily never acts hungry.

Best of luck to you and Caden,

Caitlin

Hi Viola

When ph started keto diet his portions' size also shoked me,he

also returned home very constipated. Our dietitian explained how to

calculate meals,so i do not have to stick with meal plans I got from

dietitian. What I did was I almost eliminated cream and what a

difference! You can add more veggies but you also have to replace

cream with butter or oil.ph does not mind butter or oils so we

are very lucky here. His meals looks so much bigger without cream! (

we are on 3:1 ratio and it is flexsible enough to make meals

look " normal " ).I still use cream ocassianaly since ph loves

wipped cream. Our dietitian said you do not have to use cream it you

wanted to add more veggies and butter instead. So maybe this is what

you would like to do.ph has not also been constipated since I

made some modifications to his diet.

Hope it helps
