Guest guest
I was informed that Demerol can cause seizures. That must be what my source was meaning about it being banned. She must have heard a report about possible banning of it for this reason. Now I am worried about using it a t home for sure. Deb

Deb<< There are reports of a high incidence of Demerol associated seizures, however, as with most listed side effects of medications, there are many reports of successful use of Demerol. My friend, Laurie, may have had such seizures. She was on it at home. I know others who use it without problems. Indiana university hospital has taken Demerol off the hospital formally because of their experience with these associated seizures. When I need IV pain management I receive IV Morphine. What I prefer is IV Fentanyl. It also has increased side effects, but works very well. When used it is better for short term use Vs long term IV Morphine. Karyn E. KarynWms@...
