Hi ,

I love seaweed! My son loves it too. When I signed on to yahoo I

tried to come up with a login name that I could remember. There

were others with a seaweed name but obviously no one else

had " goeatseaweed. " And surprisingly, I haven't forgotten my log in

name.

We're from the Northwest area. We will spend nearly 2 weeks in the

Central CA area and the rest of the time will be in Idaho, Oregon,

WA (Seattle/Spokane) and Great Falls, MT. Our U.S. place of

residence is Idaho.

We serve as missionaries for the The Church of the Nazarene. We

lived in the Philippines for 3.5 years and worked at an

international graduate study Bible seminary (Asia-Pacific Nazarene

Theological Seminary....to be exact). During that time we lost

control of Shan's epilepsy, started the keto diet in the Philippines

(never recommend this to anyone....hope they have improved), really

felt like Shan was not doing well and needed to move closer to

better health care, and was allowed by our church denomination to

relocate to Australia where they needed our help.

We have lived in Australia for 2 years which has been long enough to

get a better grasp on Shan's epilepsy. She's not seizure free, but

she is doing much better. Interestingly, we have used the

neurologist very little....only for perscriptions. We have spent

our time sleuthing the diet and getting Shan stronger. The medical

field has been little help. Under the circumstances, Shan is doing

well and we feel that she will do fine in the Philippines.

Thankfully, she does not have awake seizures. The Philippines is

very hot so we will have to make sure that we keep her as cool as

possible. There is an excellent Christian private school (uses

American curriculum) there that she will attend. If that does not

work out then I will homeschool her. But, I'm really hoping that

she will be able to tolerate the school. I would like her to make

some friends through the school. If need be, I could spend time at

the school helping her.

Is your son working in the Philippines? Visiting? What part of the

Philippines is he in? We will live on the outskirts of Manila in an

area called Tay Tay.

seems daunting with the diet.

Actually, my children love it, but I don't. Dog likes it too. :-)
