Guest guest
Hello everyone, I hope ur familys are doing well and keeping well. Need some advice pls.. Emma is a nightmare for gaining weight and everytime we go to see our consulantant I get told off because she is losing weight. Unless I pin her down on the floor there is no way i can force feed her and trying to explaine this is like talking to a brick wall. I dont want her to end up with NG tube all the time even thou she has this when she goes into hospital but is there a plus side and and down side to NG feeding?? And portacaths, we are waiting to her from one of our Top London hospitals here in England on when she is going to have this fitted, being this is the 1st time for me im a bit haprensive even thou i knw it wont mean anymore long lines for Emma and no more trying to find vaines, is there anyone with a child that has one of these and what are ur experiences on it. Thanks i wld love to knw what ur view are. Ally (Mum to Emma ) from England
Guest guest
Traci has had a med port since she was a 6 months. We love it! The antibiotics used to tear up her veins. We are using an antihistimine, PERIACTIN, to try to increase appetite. She had a G-Tube when she was 8 months and finally got it out at 6 yrs. Weight is always a battle for us.
