Guest guest
What is your biggest challenge as far as getting motivated? Morning all, I'm actually not sure what my greatest challenge is. I know I have to loose weight, but can't seem to keep motivated as long as I used to in the past. If it makes any sense. We are going through a very difficult period of our lives right now, and I can't seem to think of anything but food, but I battle along. I have managed to loose 30Kg (I'm not sure what that is in pounds), but I am terrified of gaining it back at the moment. Anyway, so I guess my greatest challenge is to stick with it. Guest guest
. Sticking with it from day to day can be very tuff. It seems like everyday you have to make the decision. I think that is why it is important to make mini goals for yourself. The bigger picture of your goal weight can look so unatainable and far away. If you make mini goals you will keep yourself motivated and because it is such a challange to stay on track it makes reaching those mini goals so much exciting. It gives you something to be proud of and it builds your self confidence. Right now my biggest challange is staying on track as well. I don't want to do into a New Year breaking all my good habbits I have created. Guest guest
My biggest challenge this week is to get back to watching what I'm eating. Meaning cooking instead of eating out. I've got to get back at it or I can exercise until the cows come home, and no more weight is going to come off my body. Today I will drink all my water! That is a good start for me for the day. Drinking water usually makes me less hungry, and also makes me more aware of what I am eating. Guest guest
It's so great to hear everyone challanging themselves these last few weeks before the holidays!!! It is going to feel great to start a new year and already be in control of our eating and exercise rather than be one of the people who make new years resolutions..join a gym..buy some equipment and by Feb. it is collecting dust. We are ahead of the game!!! Rhonda > My biggest challenge this week is to get back to watching what I'm eating. > Meaning cooking instead of eating out. Guest guest
Hey thats fantastic Mel, you must be pleased. I agree with you......A really big challenge is maintaining your weight. I've lost 47kg but lately I have gained a little. I don't want to go back there so I am determined to get back on track. I will be back at my weight watchers meeting next week, I feel I really need it. As I said before..there is no way I want to go back to where I was a couple of years ago. It was hard work losing the weight and I'm sure it will be even harder if I gain it back and want to lose it again.....Take care ....Leanne A A@...> wrote:What is your biggest challenge as far as getting motivated? Guest guest
I have 2 big great challenges. The first one is my willpower! It seems to have left me. I use to be so good but now I can't resist eating way to much. I am trying and I guess it feels kind of good telling you all. The other challenge is to actually get off my butt and exercise. The funny thing is once I get going I am fine and really like it and I feel wonderfu after the workout but like I said its so hard for me to get going. So once I screw one of those up my motivation is gone and I am on my way to the fridge. Wow do I ever sound dramatic today. Sorry
Guest guest
My biggest challenge is staying focus and fighting all the temptations... I have several people in my house who do not worry about what they pick up and put into their mouths, at work there are people who I sometimes feel sabotage my efforts to lose weight. I am a push over and they know that or maybe sense it, so I often find myself in some difficult predicaments. For me it is hard to " Just SAY NO " but I am getting better. Guest guest
I think my biggest challenge is the gym. Well, I know my biggest challenge is the gym, but lately also I've found myself slipping in my eating habits. I'm working later hours, and instead of planning ahead and adjusting for them, I apparently think it'll somehow be ok for me to just wing it, then end up super hungry, eating without thinking or tracking. So, my real biggest challenge (enveloping both of those)is either poor time mgmt or thickheadedness, or better yet, a word combining the two. Catalina who knows better, and needs to get into gear! .. > What is your biggest challenge as far as getting motivated? > > Morning all, > > I'm actually not sure what my greatest challenge is. Guest guest
, Great question! I used to like ages ago do a question of the week. Great idea to get it started again. Thanks! My biggest challenge lately seems to be time. I want to work out, have the best intentions but not the time. I eat ok for the most part but it doesn't matter how good I eat if I don't get regular exercise. That and drinking enough water. I used to drink 100 oz plus a day no problem but for a while now only getting 60, maybe 70 or 80 on a good day so I'm really trying to work on that too. Yours does make sense. It's when as I say life gets in the way. The best thing to do then is just work on habits. You say all you do is think about food? How about at those times coming here and posting or writing in a journal or do some kind of exercise. I jump on the tread for a few min here and there. Doesn't have to be much, just like 5-10 min to get your mind on something other than the food. Gives you some time to think about what you really want. Short term gratification or long term success? I do think I'll get back to doing a question of the week say like Monday's. Could use some ideas though. If you all have any ideas would you e-mail them to me? auroragg@...
