The Russian River winds all through our county, though, and you can cross it about ten times in the course of a drive around the county. The flooding there isn't very bad, yet, this year. We get a really BIG flood every ten years or so, and we are about due for one. Except for small streams and drainage problems in town, we don't have much trouble with water, here, where we live. Guest guest Posted February 20, 2004 Report Share Posted February 20, 2004 Bratty Pooh, So far, they are negative, but the docs all agree that MRI's are more in depth studies of the brain, and if the current changes they are making in medications doesn't have a positive impact, they will order those, too. Right now I am fighting with one of his teachers, who, it turns out, is targeting Randy and humiliating him in front of the class on an almost daily basis, and what I thought was Randy's attitude problem mostly is the teacher's mental illness problems. Turns out he has a history of targeting one "wimp", a kid who doesn't or can't verbally fight back, and doing this subtle attack on his or her self esteem, then it gets more and more blatant as long as the kid's parents don't see what is going on. It took me four months to believe Randy, but then he tells fibs about little things like brushing his teeth and finishing his homework, that it is hard not to think he is crying "wolf". Ya know? Anyhow, I wrote a six page letter detailing the teacher's latest actions, and have insisted that he have no further contact with my son. They are currently looking for a solution to the scheduling "problem" this represents for THEM, but I told them to get off their asses and FIND a solution that is workable and safe for my kid. Jeez Louise, if it isn't one thing it's another around here. To top things off, that same teacher has been lying to me every time I call to investigate one of his write ups on Randy, and he has been putting these "reports" in Randy's file. He also tries to control what happens at home by telling me how to discipline Randy at home regarding his school behavior. Oh yeah, this guy is a real control freak. I found out after a big blow up on Tuesday, that he has been telling his students about his private life, and his past, and told them that he was severely abused by his father as a child. Then, when he got out of the Marines, and went home, his dad tried to hit him again, and he "beat him (dad) until he couldn't get up off the floor." This is how he teaches his students to solve their problems, by murderous violence. Real nut case, this guy. Obviously, he uses one or two students as his targets like his dad used him, only this guy doesn't get physical with the kids...yet. I think he's dangerous, and another parent who jerked her son out of the same classes, told me that her husband went straight to the top and demanded that the teacher not be allowed to have any contact with their son, ever. So, I put that in my letter that I hand delivered this morning. I even made the secretaries give me time and date stamped receipts to prove I delivered them. I'm taking no chances on this bunch. Those other parents are professional counselors and work with disturbed kids and adults, and THEY told the district that this teacher is seriously disturbed and a danger to the kids, and the district did nothing about it. Typical. Welp, gotta go and fight the good fight some more. I feel like chit, out of breath all the time, pooped out...literally...cause I'm wearing that damned potty princess tiara again, AND, with all this stress I am hurting, but I am NOT yielding the field of battle by a long shot. Guest guest Posted March 6, 2004 Report Share Posted March 6, 2004 Hey, Brat, Well, I am still breathing a bit better, and have the house all set up for Reesey's birthday doings. But, one of his friends started telling us he wasn't going to attend the party if a certain OTHER kid came...mind you, HE requested the other kid's invitation in the first place...and Reesey was all upset, I got mad and called the kid's grandfather and told him what was going on, and so he got in big trouble. He called me, yelling lies and being very defensive, and of course, I am in no shape to deal with that kind of melodrama, so I yelled at him and cried. Anyway, he finally came back and apologized to Reesey, and all seems to be serene at this time. LOL I certainly hope so, as I can't take any more Drammer today. LOL My doc comes back on the 15th, and then I'll find out about the sleep study he wants to do. I need to call my Rheumy on this Monday to let her know what's happening, and then I guess we go from there. I started having some breathing troubles again, after setting up the kitchen, so tried to rest, but every kid in the neighborhood called for Reesey, so I didn't get any more sleep. Not a good way to start the day. There, is that enough whining for now? I think so, Teehee. Sorry to unload on you. I just don't seem to have any tolerance for petty squabbling today. I think I would have been in the frame of mind to say, good, stay home. But for Reesey, I'm glad it worked out. His puberizing stuff is being hard on him, and you! Don't over do it at the party!!
