Guest guest Posted December 29, 2006 Report Share Posted December 29, 2006 \ > Also in the tabloids I was reading that reducing fibre (eg white bread > rather than wholemeal) can be good for bowel disease as the fibre can > irritate / go thru more quickly. > Tim (UK) psc 01 uc (03) Hi Tim I don't have any inflammatory bowel disease, but like you I suffer when I eat wholegrain -even the light wholegrain - bread/AllBran/grapes with seeds (I am now an expert in spitting grape pips- grapes without seeds are fine)/oranges with seeds (- again no problems with seedless oranges)/sweet corn ummm it seems to be food with a husk that makes my bowels move - very quickly I am sure if I ate all the food above before a colonoscopy I would have no need to supplement it with Fleet. Also have a problem with shrimps (not sure if they have a husk)....Strangely though - Rolled Oats made into porridge for my breakfast causes no problem. - just PSC 7/05 from the bottom of the world in New Zealand.
