Guest guest
Hi and , I have started reading this book and found something very interesting and wanted to ask if you have heard of it, here is the quote: " Dimethylglycine (DMG) is an important non-toxic supplement that tastes good, as glycine is naturally sweet. In some children, DMG will start activating greater language ability. Every child should be given a trial of DMG, starting with one a day always giving in the morning, building up to three or four all taken at once in the morning if hyperactivity isn't a problem. Giving folinic acid 800 mcg along with DMG will ofter prevent hyperactivity. DMG does double duty in providing the brain with a valuable and important amino acid, and also helps raise immune system efficiency... (folinic acid is the biologically active form of folic acid). " This book is directed to Autistic children, however I am finding lots of info that I believe we could apply to our Apraxic kids. The author is a DAN! Dr. I bought DMG (it reads N, N-Dimethylclycine Freebase - do you know what that means? I was wondering if it is a syntetic form because it has the N in front of it) and folic Acid today from the Vitamin Shoppe (they did not have folinic acid) and have started on it. The book also indicates that you should place the DMG tablet under the tongue for better absorption, well Dani liked it, he said it tastes like buble gum and it dissolved very quickly - I gave it to him almost an hour ago and he is not climbing up the walls yet... we will see. I wonder if the folinic acid could also help with the hiperactivity experienced with Vit E? Any thoughts? I will keep you posted. We did the blood work today, and I was so proud of my son (he did not cry). I can't wait for the results. Thanks and sorry for being a little lenghty.
