Guest guest
Hi everyone, I just rejoined the keto list after being away for quite awhile. My daughter is now 14, was on the ketogenic diet from 1996, to almost 2000. We ended up back on medications in 2000, when the diet lost it's effectiveness by itself, but we have had on a modified diet ever since. Anyway, after a few years of being able to give the Keto Carb Koolers, I found a couple of months ago now that they've been discontinued. I was able to stockpile as many as I could find over the internet, but I'm worried about what I'll do once they are gone. I'm devastated that they are discontinued, because it was the one drink that could have with no seizure side effects. She can't have fruit juices, she can't have carbonated drinks, she can't have aspartame, Splenda, maltodextrin, anything ending in " ose " or " tol " , without seizures. Can anyone tell me if there is another drink out there like the Carb Koolers? And if not, are there any of you out there whose child is as sensitive as , who has had luck with another drink of any kind? is also developmentally delayed, so while she understands language, reasoning with her to drink plenty of water, is just out of the question. She starts to feel very poorly, gets sick more often, and gets constipated if she doesn't drink enough liquids, so I'm starting to feel the panic over what we'll do next. Thank you all for listening, and for any help you can give! Kandy, mom to 14 Idaho
Guest guest
I am not sure I can help you; what exactly is a Keto Carb Kooler? What is in it? This may sound silly, but what about coloured tap water in a Keto Carb Kooler bottle? Guest guest
Hi Kandy, Have you tried Glaceau Fruit Water? I buy it at Trader Joes/Stop and Shop. Jake is sensitive too, not sure if it would be okay for . Barb Swoyer, Jake's mom No more Keto Koolers, where to go from here? > Hi everyone, > > I just rejoined the keto list after being away for quite awhile. Guest guest
You might try doing a search for Keto Koolers. I recall a discussion on them a few months ago but I don't recall the details. Guest guest
She's onto that one, Bill! She doesn't like the taste of plain water, even with saccharin in it! Keto Koolers were made by a company called Lifeservices, and sold by the Keto company. They have B vitamins, Taurine, and a few other things in them. They come in Grape, Pink Lemonade, OJ, and Cranberry flavors. It's a powder like Kool-Aid. I'm still mourning the loss! Thanks Bill! Kandy Re: No more Keto Koolers, where to go from here? Guest guest
Thanks Barb! Good to " see " you here! I'll try to find those, see if maybe could handle them. We'd recently tried a " sugar free " drink that we thought she could have, turned out to have Splenda in it, and her seizures increased. We'll see about this one though, thanks for telling me about it! Guest guest
Hi Mike, I've done extensive searches on the internet, and I think I've bought every last one that is out there! ... Or at least close to it! If by any chance you, or anyone here is doing a search and comes across any, will you please let me know? Thank you again! Guest guest
This was discussion within the Yahoo Keto group so I thought you may be able to search the archives for information.
