I was diagnosed with PSC in November. I have a history of RA and

fibromyalgia. This week I was diagnosed with Crohn's as well. My

doc ordered the colonoscopy because I'd had some rectal bleeding and

bloody diarrhea. In a way, I am glad to have the diagnoses because

it explains a lot of symptoms.

I have had persistent right sided pain for close to 10 years. I have

been into the ER about 10 times in the last five years for the

abdominal pain. Each time, they'd pat me on the head and tell me I

was fine and I should go home.

My grandma died due to complications of PBC. One of my uncles died

from complications of Crohns when he was only 23. It is a horribly

sad and scary thing for me right now. When I read all the posts here

and find out that so many people with the same diagnoses (or even

more serious ones) are doing well, leading very productive, busy

lives, I feel a bit better.

Even though I am " grown up " , the support of my parents is

invaluable. I have discussed what's going on with my dad, but we

have decided to hold off on telling my mom until after Christmas.

After losing her mom and her brother to diagnoses that I now have,

it's going to be scary for her too.

I'm glad that a forum like this is here.

Whoa, , what a history. I am

stunned. I will keep your family in my prayers as you share you news over the

holidays. I am so sorry it took this long. At least your head got some

attention…LOL! (Pat on the head.)

Welcome to the group. It is a wealth of

information. The people here are priceless.

Welcome.

Be sure to stay in contact with this forum. This is a whole bunch of very knowledgable and caring people who don't care if you talk about bloody diarrhea and will try to help you cope with it in the best way possible.
