Guest guest
Yes, he probably loses an abnormally high amount of potassium through his ileostomy/pouch as it is normally reabsorbed in the colon along with wate and other minerals and vitamins. Guest guest
's blood work today was good. His Prograf level is still doing good and his liver tests are looking better. His potassium is still low. They had started him back on potassium last week and stopped his Lasix. My question is, could him not having a colon be part of this low potassium problem? wife of PSC UC 2000, listed 2004, tx November 18, 2006 (1 month today!) Guest guest
Potassium level , I do not have a colon and my doctor said that, will make your potassium level low, so that could be the problem, but I would check with the doctor also. Glad to hear everything else is doing good. Bettyann (SC)
