Guest guest
Admittedly I would drink lots of Coke and Pepsi. I knew the sugar and cafeine are not good for us but recently I found that the phosphoric acid in the drinks was especially bad for consumption. I read that mechanics at the Coke plant would use it to clean the engines and greasy equipment, Hmm. I read the article about the ph of cf cells and thought that if you consume acid it would probably make your body and blood a more acidic enviroment, a breeding ground for P.A. So I haven't hade a pepsi or coke in over a month and have noticed a big difference in my health. FYI Rob
Guest guest
Rob, What have you replaced the Coke and Pepsi with. I am so addicted to Cola!! It's gotten to where I can't seem to drink anything else, and water - just forget it!! I want to go have a coke right now just thinking about it. I know this is all so bad! I would love to try to go without for a month...any suggestions? Christy Coca Cola addiction Admittedly I would drink lots of Coke and Pepsi. Guest guest
You might try sweet tea. It still has sugar and caffeine (not as much as Coke, though), but no acid. I switched to tea for awhile when a kidney infection landed me in the emergency room (I had never had one before and was in horrible pain!) The x-ray technician explained to me that Coke/Pepsi, etc contained acid that causes kidney problems. I switch to sweet tea when my lower back starts aching, but, alas, an addiction is and addiction and I drink Pepsi or Diet Pepsi most of the time. I drink water when I exercize, but nowhere near the 8 glasses a day we are supposed to. It just doesn't have that sugary, energy-laden fizz that Pepsi offers. My mother has photos of me drinking a baby bottle with Pepsi in it, so at least my soda pop habit is only 99% my own fault! ~ > Rob, > > What have you replaced the Coke and Pepsi with. Guest guest
I was addicted to Coke also. I switched to Lipton Instant Ice tea and then dropped it all together. And when I say addicted, I was addicted! I went through a 12 pack in a day or less! Now I am down to just water. I didn't use to drink water at all. Guest guest
Did you know that the phosphorus in ALL soda eats holes in your bones .Also the soda and TEA leach calcium from your body that keeps your body absorbing vitamin C.I am a small person 5'1 3/4 " and 106 pounds with a tiny bone structure . I was taught these things during my 19 pregnancies /8 babies breastfeeding to lessen bone loss as my grandmother and greatgrandmother both had osteoperosis-it is a degenerative bone disease that usually affects small boned people. The way to really see what coke and pepsi do to your body find a very rusty tool or just junk metal pour your favorite soda (Coke or Pepsi ) into a PLASTIC bowl leave the metal about 24 hours and look at the metal then You decide if you want that stuff in youir body(me I did this years ago and I drink milk coffee water and juice )I drink maybe 1 soda a year my favorite is Royal Crown Cola (I can't find it here in NY) I hope this helps with your soda delimma!! Guest guest
Hi , the disappearing coin is just a proof of the weak currency, LOL! Here in Germany a judge is suing Coca-Cola, claiming that the daily intake of one liter coke was the reason for his diabetes. He gets a lot of media coverage, but I don't see a chance for his case. Basically I only drink lots of unsweetened black or green tea, but my wife keeps telling me, that tea doesn't count, since the body can't use it. I have my own opinion about her health tips from the yellow press, but has anyone else heard about this too? I often get a headache from coke, and the more I dilute the coke, the worse it gets. Do you think I should dilute it with something else than Jack s? Peace Torsten > Rob, > > At school we put a coin in a glass of coke and it completely ate the coin > away in 24hours! Guest guest
To jump in here , don't mean to butt into your conversation , BUT, I have used coke for : removal of the love bugs that get stuck on the car during certain times here in FL. I also used it to get the ice off the windows when in NC mountains driving . It work right away & is great. I always rinse off so as not to attract ants(in FL> ) and also so it isn't sticky . :) BUT IT WORKS and hasn't hurt the car any. I try to keep in just the windows & then rinse. .I never drink coke though . Haven't for years, I gained too much weight from it and also I preferred PEPSI. Have a great day........................ LOVE & HUGS< grandmomBEV Coca Cola Addiction A friend I know uses the left over coke to clean her toilet!!! After that i'm not to keen on drinking it anyway. Tania.
