These were posted on the Liver Families group. I

thought some here might find them of interest. I am still wading

through. I know Noah had Kupffer cells on his biopsy, but everyone does I

think…so I don’t know how I can use the info.

I know this is just a dissertation, but maybe something here

would work…HOPE isn’t that what we all want?!

Kupffer cells are normal in the liver, they are just macrophages/monocytes that have taken residence in the liver...each organ has it's own name for macrophages that reside in it and it is normal in all tissues. Marcrophages are the cell that cleans up cellular debris and pathogens in the body and works with other immune cells of the body. wrote: These were posted on the Liver

Ok, good to know Ross. Thanks for telling

me. I am so challenged…sometimes with some of this stuff. I just knew I

had SEEN it on his biopsy. I was lucky to retain that much. LOL!

I think they stained them or something to

rule out AIH or something.

Best,

Mom of Zoe

(13) super soccer player;

Noah (9) UC,

PSC, and osteopenia and a great soccer and basketball player and;

Aidan (5)

moderately-severely hearing impaired great basketball shot (10-foot

hoop none-the-less)
