Hi

My son has just turned 2 and had no sz control at all, his neuro wants to reffer

him to GOSH to start the trial liquid diet.

Are there any other kids on the same diet ?

Looking for info really.

Deb,

its a good treatment, the sooner its is started the better the resultsi.e.

the shorter the period the child has uncontrolled epilepsy.

Why is yours in liquid form?Does your son have difficulty eating/swallowing?

Try to read " The ketogenic diet " by Freeman before your meeting so you

can make a list of all the questions you really need answering,

Deb, hello. Actually had to look into that as I was, maybe still am,

clueless to what you are talking about. I did end up at the web site

of GOSH (Great Ormond Street Hospital) and they are doing a study to

see which method of ketogenic diet is better, MCT (medium chain

triglyceride). So, i'm assuming that the liquid diet would be the

MCT?

Here is an article about the study...

Sorry i'm not much help here, I had to research just to figure out

what I did get. Good luck, i'll try to look up more..
