Since I left I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes so I have to be more careful than ever. I realize now I've had diabetes since long before I started Atkins. Doing Atkins was obviously the best thing I could have done for this. If you check the shared files you will see I've uploaded my new Vol. 3 Cookbook. Also, I updated Vol. 1. Bon Appetit, in Seattle...T2

Guest guest
, good to have you back. I just d/l-ed your new cookbook today and printed it out, all 205 pages of it . Thanks for much for all the work you put into it. It looks great . You guys were right, back when I asked for recommendations for a lc-cookbook to buy - there's so much more for free on the net . Guest guest
Hi! I was going to be gone for a week and it turned into several. But I am starting induction again today. Things that have been extremely chaotic in my life have now finally settled down. It's hard when you just don't have time to think about and of yourself. I started back in Oct. --now my trip in Jan. is only seven weeks away and I haven't lost a pound--I did but I gained it back. So I'm really determined to even just get ten pounds off in the next seven weeks. Just to make me feel better about myself for our vacation. I finally have a kitchen back after eight weeks without one from remodeling so I can't wait to try some of 's recipees. I've saved them all to a recipee folder. Thanks Candace!! I have been naughty but not for long. Hope you have a great Thanksgiving. Hugs Laverne
Guest guest
Hello, I'm back from unlocking the shop for Mike and the gym. I am soo irritated with this one guy, Dan. He's always griping about working too many hours. Hello..... it's the heating business, in Alaska, in the middle of winter!!!!!!!! He doesn't get the concept of working while you can and appreciating having a job or doing the best you can for yourself. Basically no work ethic if you ask me. He was grumbling about being out at 2:00 am on a no heat call. I said " Oh I know Dan. Been married to Mike for 20 years. He did the on call thing until this last spring and he still puts in more hours than anybody so you aren't going to get much sympathy from me, sorry. " I tried to say how it's the job, feast or famine, it's how seasonal work goes and about doing a good job for your self and working as long as there is work and stuff and all he kept saying is how if you get too much overtime, like more 2-3 hours they take out too much taxes and it's not worth busting his a$$ over. I couldn't believe he had the gall to complain about this to the bosses wife! The bosses wife who is there because her husband is home sick and I'm worried enough about him. Mike doesn't need this crap! He claims to like Mike and me SOOO much. Well how about working hard for that? I know when I worked at the grocery store and had the best boss I had ever had I worked harder because I liked him and wanted to make him happy. He doesn't think about that! He doesn't think about that if he worked just that little bit harder then it just might pay off down the road. Mike has busted his a$$ for years, working towards buying this company. He didn't just get it handed to him. Tim is selling it to us because he feels we deserve it. Because Mike works soo hard and because as he (Tim) says I have always been there to support him. Sorry, rambling. This guy just really ticks me off! Basically I feel like telling him if you don't like it, the job YOU signed up for then find something else! Anyway, I had a good workout at the gym and even got on the scale. According to the gym scale I have lost a little bit. Still more than I was a couple months ago but it's heading in the right direction again I think. Last time I weighed there I was 218 I think and today was 215. I did all the weight machines and then 12 min on the bike and 14 on the tread. I'm going to get on my tread here to get that little bit more in. First going to go through some e-mail. :-) Gena 284/215/200/
Guest guest
Wow Gena, I can't believe you'd be so uncaring! ;-) That's ok, I'm willing to help Dan. So that he feels better, and doesn't have to worry about the taxes taken out of his overtime pay, I'm willing to be selfless, and allow him to have his overtime pay, minus taxes, sent to me. What can I say? I'm a problem-solver! It seems clear Dan feels guilty for making extra money, and, ahem, Gena, if you're unable to summon enough Christmas Spirit to assist on this, I'll just shoulder the burden myself. =+) (notice how I carefull avoided going off on a rant about work ethics, heehee) Catalina > Hello, > I'm back from unlocking the shop for Mike and the gym.
