We ordered the Scholastic Dictionary of Idioms - not only does it

explain the definition of the idiom but tells a bit of the history.

It's kind of fun!

Try looking for Idioms on the web. There are quite a few places that list

hundreds of them. That will keep you busy for a while. ;-)
