Guest guest
Lily: What makes you question a trip to The Cleveland Clinic? That's where I finally got my CP diagnosis. Dr. Conwell is known for his pancreas work. -E
Guest guest
I have another question: When you refer to " EUS, " which procedure do you mean? I ask because EUS simply means endoscopic ultrasound, the method by which a test or procedure is accomplished. I've had an EUS assisted pancreatic biopsy, as well as a series EUS assisted celiac nerve blocks. All were done at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, NY. The former confirmed the diagnosis that Dr. Conwell had found via blood trypsinogen. -E -E
Guest guest
Where do you live in Ohio ? I am a Ohio gal. I think that it is wize to go to a more expierenced place for a pancreatic work up. Cleveland Clinic is well known and so isn't Dr. lehmans group in Indiannapolosis. Did you discuss a MRCP or an EUS ultrasound with your doc ? I imagin that the Cleveland Clinic or where ever you decide to go will want that done. Check Marks web site and I think that he has lots of info on the EUS. Also how were your liver enzyme results as well as your lipase and amylase. Have you been tested for any kind or heridtary problem ? These are just toughts to ponder. My typo' s are the pits today, I hunt and peck, sorry . Does the Viokase help at all ? Some pain meds help other not as much. Mostly you may have to try others to see what works best for you . How is your white blood count now ? If they are talking about removing part of the pancreas you may want to check with Dr. Sutherland aboit removing the pancreas. there have been alot of postings in this group fropm folks who wished they did not have the partial removeal done but the complete removal. Do some " homework " before you go to Cleveland and ask LOTS of questions ! Lily Mark = www.top5plus5.com. I think Mark has Dr. Sutherlands info on that web site as well. Good Luck. Guest guest
As I posted last week, Dr. Sutherland is also a nice guy! He took time out of his busy schedule to reply to my email inquiry. And contacted me again with further info. -E
