Guest guest
I am looking for a sprouted grains GF recipe. Ideally a version of dehydrated Essene bread but any sprouted grain bread recipe will do. I have just spent nearly 2 hours on the net and am just not finding one. I have found a bunch of Essene and Ezekiel bread recipes but they all call for whole wheat berries, spelt and barley. I am not a good enough cook to be able to work out how to substitute those items. Ideally the bread needs to be free of gums, dairy and eggs. I don't mind a flat bread. your help will be much appreciated, thank you Shez

I finally found a traditional ingera bread recipe that just uses teff. All the ones I was finding were full of gluten containing flour. I have teff at home so I think I'll try it when I return on the weekend. Shez

Guest guest
> > > ESSENE FLAT BREAD RECIPE > By L. & Donna Philippe =========== thanks, I found that one, but it is made from wheat berries. I sent them an email asking them if they had ever made it with other grains. I am busy looking for sprouting quality teff and sorghum and am going to try sprouting them and see what happens. Guest guest
Have you looked through Betty Hagmann's Bread Book? " The Gluten-Free Gourmet Makes Bread " Surely you could find something in there. I use Bob's Red Mills Wonderful Homemade Gluten-Free Bread Mix. I guess you could use soy milk to make it, but there is egg in it. I do it in the oven, no bread machine. It is easy and the best bread I have eaten since going gluten-free.
