Guest guest
Channel 6 here (I think), locally, just had a girl w/CF who is 14 and awaiting a double lung transplant, from the Orlando area, on TV, reciting the pledge of allegiance. I can't believe I didn't catch her name! They said something like, " (Her name) is 14 years old, has cystic fibrosis and is awaiting a double lung transplant. She would like to remind everyone not to take the little things in life for granted. " And then she recited the pledge of allegiance. The fact that she is awaiting a transplant put tears in my eyes, but she looked good, and I thought it was great that people got to hear the words " CF " and see someone with it...more awareness of what it is and even that it exists. (I've had lots of people ask me what cystic fibrosis is.) mama to , 16 months old w CF and 3 years wo CF
