Our Beautiful Children

For the first time, I have gone through the photos of our children...and added

my precious Hannah as well. Our children our so beautiful and beloved. I have

had such a terrible day today with Hannah's seizures, the pictures really helped

me focus on how much love can do for us. I am attaching a poem I find helpful

during our rough times. I hope you all enjoy it. I can't remember where I

originally found it, but it says so much about our little ones.

Love to all,

Mommy to Hannah

" My name is .

When you look at me,

You will measure me

...by my awareness

...by my response

...by my age,

...by my development

And you will shake your head

and find me lacking.

But, for me, you are measuring

With the wrong cup.

For I have one possession

Which brims and overflows

Beyond all others.

I have my parents' love.

This cup they give me holds also their

...agony and helplessness

...waiting and hoping

...tears and pain

...aloneness and fear.

But in the end, all these are swallowed up

in the deepness of their love

Which now, in each same moment,

Both lets me go

And will never let me go.

So measure me, if you must...

But measure me, too, with my cup

And you will find me

Full. "

hi stephanie(and Hannah,)

That poem is so very beautiful;and moved me to tears, and reminded me that

throughout all the good and bad times they are still our beautiful, precious

babies,no matter how bad things sometime get.My daughter has just started

the mct version of the ketogenic diet and things are pretty tough at the

moment i am finding it really difficult to deal with all the drop fits are

really

getting me down, plus the fact of having 2 other children(1 with special

needs also)to deal with, and them being on school holidays for 6 weeks.Never

mind

things could be worse,i will end this for now and i hope that both you and

your daughter are keeping well,Take Care and God Bless.

Leeanne,and (aged 12)

OK, , you made me cry. That is so beautiful. I am going

to print it and keep it with me for those days when I need a little

boost. Thank you so much for sharing!
