Guest guest
Please help!! My cf center does not have particular protocol on santizing neb parts. Everyone has their own thoughts. Are there sterlizing machiones out there? Any suggestions? I always feel as if the are not safe enough. Thank you in advance to anyone who responds. Research articles would be great!! We are doing treatments 4 times a day. Crystal, mother of almost 7 months 06/02/
Guest guest
The instructions, that came with our neb, say to wash the mack and chamber in hot soapy , antibacterial, soap, and then soak in 2 parts water one part vinegar mixture for 30 minutes. Let air dry. Do not wash tubing, but if condesation occurs in tube, run machine, with just tubing on, for 5 or so minutes to dry out. Guest guest
YES there are but , you can simply wash with soap & water, rinse with vinegar water and let air dry. OR..You can also wash in dishwasher and rinse with vinegar water, OR..You can wash with a solution called Control III and follow directions which are to rinse and let air dry..... AND/OR use a sterilizer machine(size of counter top toaster oven (like they use for instruments at dentist's , etc.-this is not necessary though).... OR, you can boil .drain , let air dry .-store in clean container once " completely " dry. ANY of these ways are fine. JUST do each time used..... You will get many ways suggested from the list folks , they are great resource. But , most will be in the list above. If you are interested in the countertop, call me at 1- on Wed. am .I will not be back in office, where info is , until then. Best wishes to you and yours.
