Guest guest
Hello, I've noticed my son mouth breathing all the time, fingers in his mouth, and not breathing so well all the time while he is asleep. It's like he is struggling to get air. I looked inside his mouth tonight, and I am shocked how swollen his tonsils are. He hasn't had reoccuring colds, or ear infections, nothing like that. But the tonsils look so huge, it's no wonder he is having difficulty breathing during his sleep. I am a bit freaked out, but realistically I think he will be okay until we get them looked at by a doctor and removed. Has anyone had this experience? My son will be three in December.. so young for surgery, but these have to go, I am almost certain of that. I've tried finding info online, but haven't come across much. I wonder if his adenoids are swollen too? Occasionally I have noticed around his mouth that it looks blueish. This has been going on since he was a baby, I almost thought that I was imagining the blueishness to his face(around the mouth area). I did see it again tongiht, and took the flashlight and looked into his mouth.......finally! duh! Poor guy. guilt..... sigh...... btw his speech is really increasing, it's amazing. Be encouraged mothers. I've felt very discouraged in the past. Slowly but surely the words are coming. We still take one omega 3,6,9 in the morning, and the info on the vitamin e is so interesting I cannot wait to give that a try. thank you for any info on the tonsils/adenoinds.....and the surgery? M.
