SO my last day of my internship is on Wednesday and they want to take

me out to eat. They are letting me choose because they know of my

diet restrictions. The problem is it will be a large group going and

therefore any sit-down restauraunt is out of the question as it will

take too long. Our lunch hour is at 12 when most other people have

lunch hours too making anywhere we would go busy. They have mentioned

maybe ordering food somewhere but pizza is obviously out of the

question and I am unsure about the BBQ place across from us. I think

I will mention Pei Wei tomorrow but any other ideas will be apprciated.

What if you go to a sit-down, but order a day in advance? Just a

thought...hope you have fun!

, What I have done in similar situations is call (or better visit) the restaurant(s) ahead of time during their less busy time. I ask to see the ingredient lists if I have any doubts that they appreciate what I am asking. That way I know exactly what I can have and can't have ahead of time. Good luck and congrats on completing your internship. !Debby

I decided on Pei Wei am pretty sure we will be ordering take-out. I

will let you know how it goes. I usually order the sweet and sour

chicken but may try something else as the last few times I have eaten

there my stomach doesn't seem to agree too well with it. Not sure if

it's CC or one of my other food " sensitivities " .

When I go to Pei Wei, I get the Vetnamese Spring rolls, leaving off the peanut sauce, and they're great!

They do. I think they use just corn starch as a coating when you

order it GF. At any rate, they don't use breading when you order GF.

Pei Wei has a gluten free menu and they actually bread things with rice flour. I've never tried the floured ones, too scared to. They use rice wrappers on the spring rolls (The Vietnamese dish), and it's fantastic. Their Sister resturant, P.F. Chang's has a rice noodle dish.

Anywhere I’ve ever seen sweet and sour chicken it’s always breaded which would be a big no-no. Does Pei Wei make it differently?
