Cocoa Krispies are not GF.Much to DS12's dismay! Margie RIn South Central PA...on the Mason Dixon Line Okay. I had Cocoa Krispies with almond milk for breakfast. I had fresh broccoli and Bush's vegetarian baked beans. I had a Pepsi. Then...I had diarrhea and cramping. Any thoughts? I am so tired of this. I am finally eating again. I had tried to quit eating for months, and was upsetting everyone around me. Now, when I eat and get sick, it makes me want to stop eating again.

I see a few problems with your menu - I wouldn't eat Cocoa Krispies

on a dare, as I think there is a major cross-contamination risk.

Broccoli and baked beans? Both highly gas causing, and likely to

cause some cramping on the way through your gut. I would stick to

confirmed gluten-free foods, very mild and bland, for a few days.

Things like rice, bananas, GF toast with fruit spread, baked potato

if you want veggie things, or maybe some baked chicken if you're not

vegetarian.

Sorry you are sick. Cocoa Krispies, if I am not mistaken, have malt

in them so they are not GF. :(

Are Bush's beans okay? I thought I read somewhere that they weren't.

I had read on celiacforums.com that Cocoa Krispies were GF. Maybe

that is what has been causing all my troubles lately. I have been

feeling " glutened " off and on for the past two weeks.

Where are you on the Mason Dixon Line? We are in Hagerstown!

Thanks to everyone for your input. I love the support and advice

here.

From http://www.bushbeans.com/products/productqa.jsp:

Are any of your products gluten-free? Which ones?

All of our Bush's Best products are gluten-free with the exception of

Bush's Best Chili Beans, the four varieties of Bush's Homestyle Chili

and Bush's Chili Magic®line.

We use cornstarch in some of our products, but it does not contain

gliadin gluten from wheat, barley or rye grains that may cause adverse

responses in persons suffering from Celiac Sprue.

My CD 4 yr old is eating them right now because she hasn't had her endoscope yet so we can't cut anything out. I read the box and it says made from rice but it does have carmel color in it and I thought I read that could be a possible problem. Not sure though since I'm new to this. I will let you know if she's sick after eating it.
