Guest guest
Bobbi, I read your message about kids shampoos... My son, , has been using a kid's shampoo ever since starting the diet. It is a fruity type but I checked the label and couldn't find any sugar products listed. We have not been able to get good seizure control yet. Could this shampoo be a problem even though the label looks OK? It is a Suave Kid's Shampoo brand in the U.S. Thanks for the info!! Ann > > Hi, > Most kids shampoo have a form of sugar in them. Sorbitan, sorbitol, etc... not only that but toothpaste too. Hand lotions, everything that touches them can be absorbed. Even adult forms of shampoo, gels, etc have to be checked. Soap, especially kids soaps that smell fruity usually have a form of sugar. I use dove soap and a dove brand shampoo with conditioner. Some dove shampoos have sorbitan or sorbitol so be careful. Even hair products with lots of herbs can cause problems. Toothpaste I use Tom's of Maine mint or Arm & Hammer Baking soda toothpaste. I even take own paste when we go to the dentist. > Bobbi
