Guest guest
Bill, Her neuron said the exact something about poor hair on this diet. Alice is on CAL-MAG-ZINC III. We just learned that her carnitine level was " very low " , wonder if that is related. How much selenium do you give your daughter on daily base? Did she get a blood test before taking selenium? And the most important, how is her hair? Alice is two. Thanks, --- Bill Barber torontobarber@...> wrote: > Poor quality hair and especially falling out is > common on the diet. Guest guest
The medications may be adding to the problems with hair loss. I don't know for sure. They may also be affecting the carnitine level. Try to use natural foods, not processed. We use chicken and fish and omega 3 eggs. We use brocolli, cauliflower, peppers, etc. My daughter got lots of blood tests, but I don't think they looked at selenium or whether a blood test of that would show anything. I just use brazil nuts for selenium. I get the flaked ones and add them to the casseroles, so she gets it 4 times a day with each meal. You could also crush them with a mortar and pestle to make a flour. Not sure if a 2 year old can handle eating nuts. I think (hope really) that the brazil nuts might have other trace minerals. What sort of meals is Alice eating? What is her ratio? Is she taking any other medications? You might try going up to 1 and a half doses of C-M-Z III per day. So, maybe give a half tablespoon 3 times a day; breakfast, lunch, dinner. I think that is safe. If doesn't have a lot of iron. My daughter's hair is beautiful. She just had it cut and it has some curls. It is very shiny. Quan Tang wrote: > Bill, > > Her neuron said the exact something about poor hair on > this diet. Alice is on CAL-MAG-ZINC III.
