Guest guest
Hi , Sorry to jump in here - but how old is ? (I probably missed all this info from an earlier post - sorry!) From the documentation I have here in UK for a female being on 1200 calories the age should be just under 2 1/2 years old - but of course I don't know how much activity gets up to! That works out at 95 calories per kg - obviously being on the keto diet she would be on less than this. If you want to play it safe then you could try dropping 50 calories per week and see how she goes - or go a bit further a drop a 100 calories. Our dietician doesn't recommend dropping any more than 100 calories at a time - what has yours said about it? I am probably going to have this problem with in time - I have just given him a rise of 400 calories over a period of 3 days (but he had gone into a catabolic state) - I am expecting this to be too much in the long run but something had to be done very quickly as he was having so many seizures. When I notice his weight going up too much then I will reduce him down by 50 calories at a time until we get on an even keel. Hope this helps a little bit! Take care and good luck.
