Good news! Half the battle is getting your child to look forward to therapy

and actively participating and it looks like he's winning. I've not

recorded my son though the therapist will record some of the sessions and

replay them for him and he practices this way. She is great...she uses

anything that will spark his interest in talking...computer (pix), recorder

and loads of toys!

Hi everyone,

My son dx'd apraxia has started ST. Yesterday was his first day. He will

receive therapy 3 times a week for 30 mins each session to start.

He has been doing better lately. Ever since the evaluation he's been really

trying to say sounds or words, which is terrific. It's as if the ST woke up

his mouth- he realizes it IS there. Most words end up sounds or completely

wrong, but I am happy to see his effort!

Has anyone tried recording sessions with a digi recorder? I was thinking of

doing it , maybe even just once a week.
