Diet Treatment Centres

Hi all,

As most of you a familiar, we all come from far and wide, most members from

the USA or Canada, then again still more elsewhere around the globe. It's

occurred to me recently that with so few hospitals and clinics performing the

Ketogenic Program that it might help our current members, or future ones, be

aware of treatment centres in other locations:-

eg: Due to house-moves, people who've just become aware of the diet and are

trying to find a centre nearby for help, or indeed for second opinions and

various other factors that might occurr.

So I'd like to ask all of you please, what your opinion of a database (of

sorts) in our group/community, listing such things as Consultant/Dietician,

Hospital/Clinic, Location and phone number where possible.

I'd dearly like to hear anyone's thoughts on this and whether you feel it

could be of benefit to others too, since so few places actually practice the

Ketogenic Diet,

Yep, sounds good to me too Phil - no idea how to do that meself, being

technically challenged and all, but I would be happy to put our (New

Zealand) details into any database at the files section, or anywhere for

that matter...

Hi Phil,

Very good idea Phil, in fact I am in the process of drawing one up

for the UK to be posted on the s Friends site - but I also

want to include the rest of the world because it would be nice to

know where all the centres are in case you are on holiday at all and

you need advice. It would be useful to know where they have

experience of the diet.

So if people want to send me details of where their centres are and

who their doctors/dieticians are, addresses, phone numbers etc I will

get this sorted out and posted on the MF site and as an attachment on

the group as well (how you do that I might need some help with

though!) I have the added advantage of having a web-designer so he

will devise a format where it can be easy for us all to use.
