Kirsty,

Tell I said hi - I missed her last time we were at clinic as she was at

the conference.

That's a real pain about the penicillin and I hope they are wrong.

Connor seems to have asthma. He was exactly the same with wheezing. They wont

formally diagnosed asthma until 12months as it could just be restricted airways

which fix as the baby grows. And they dont recommend any medication until

6months as before then it can have a reverse effect (this is what I was told).

So at six months Connor went on to ventolin and after a month of that working as

a reliever but not getting rid of the wheeze, he started on Intal Forte. Last

visit he was still using Ventolin daily to control the wheezing (they only like

that to be used on a need basis and not daily) and so he is now on a steroid

until winter is over. But we often forget to give it and his wheezing seems to

be under control.

Connor hasn't had a bronch. When he was infor IV's a few months ago Dr MArtin

was overseas and he's the only one who does them. I'm glad it wasn't done in a

way as I dont want bad news of anything growing in his lungs.

I have to say that it was very scary when Connor went under the anesthetic. I

know it was for the best as then he wouldn't feel the PICC line going in but it

was awful. I'm not looking forward to it again as I dont think it will get any

easier. At least will come out of recovery and you'll be able to take him

home. Are they doing a bronch because he's got a cough and not getting better?

Good luck if I dont talk to you before Friday......

Kristy,

The bronc. will get easier if you ask for Medazalin (sp?). It makes them

very relaxed and they dont fight. Also they dont remember anything

afterwards. We ALWAYS get it for Eilish once someone put me onto it.

What is Medazilin (sp)?? Is that what makes them fall asleep? Connor had to

breath in something which sent him off to laa laa land before they anethetised

him. It all seems so long ago and unreal now - like it was a bad dream.

Kristy

PS I passed my Manicure and Pedicure with Distinctions so I'm pretty happy!!
