Guest guest
What is it that I've heard is associated with mouthing and biting? Zinc maybe? Have you tried supplementing zinc before? Guest guest
I've read that " chewies " and other sensory issues are usually one or a combo of all of these: B vitamin deficiencies (esp b6) zinc, magnesium and other mineral deficiencies yeast viruses I have no experience that any of these are true -- but it's a starting point. My experience with my son's significant biting stage was simply that he was using it as a way of expressing himself since he didn't have the verbal capabilites of his peers. It was 6 months of nearly getting kicked out of daycare! > > > > Hi, thanks in advance to all who read this. > > I know a number of people on here also have a sensory integration > > dysfunction diagnosis so here it goes. Guest guest
, I can totally relate to your issue. My son is 2 1/2 yrs, and has recently started biting when he is hyper or angry, throwing temper tantrums, and just being overall difficult. I am unable to determine if it is the diet change (GF/CF) or the addition of Vitamin E. He has been taking 2 ProEFA's for 2 months, so I don't think it has anything to do with that. The diet has only been going on for 3 weeks, and Vitamin E for a few days. I too would appreciate any suggestions. I wish I had some profound advice, but I did want to lend my support, as I can relate. I feel so helpless when faced with these difficult issues. Good luck, > > Hi, thanks in advance to all who read this. > I know a number of people on here also have a sensory integration > dysfunction diagnosis so here it goes. Guest guest
My daughter would get the chewies every time we increased or restarted the EFA's. I always wondered if it was just a side effect or a sign of the EFA's working. It also happened when we did B12, and I have heard some people call this a positive negative (as in a negative side effect that indicates a positive result of the intervention).
