I am right between Chicago and Kankakee. It takes me 45 mintues to get to

Chicago (with no construction) and about 35 mintues to get to Kankakee.

But for almost all of our deaf/hoh events I travel to Joliet.

with pushpins, but due to time constraints (like a job), I did not.

I never joined in, so here it is. Tracey in Seattle with 9yr old son,

, LVAS, bilateral mixed loss and 3 yrs old and ornery,

and also a nice silently supportive husband, Bill

LOL Romeoville? Bolingbrook? I think there's a town called Leroy

over there too, haven't been out that way in ages though.

You are right, there is a small town named Leroy in Indiana. Blink and it's

Ok...those are pretty obscure. So do you know where Grant Park is??? I'm just a

little north of there.

When I read your note I laughed out loud. asked me what was so funny,

so I explained it to her. Usually she doesn't get it, but I explained it

anyways. Well this time she laughs back at me and says " Last night I told

someone where I lived and they asked me where in the world was that " This was

while we were at an event at our church. And our church is about 8 miles from

our house.

Oh no.....those are no longer the small towns they use to be. Those are much

further west than us.

So did you grow up in Chicago, or one of it's many suburbs?
