Guest guest
I'm in Macon GA. Daughter has mod-severe bilateral loss and wears hearing aids. My phone line got fried by lightning or something so haven't had internet at home in almost a week. It was good though because I had a carpal tunnel repair last week and wasn't tempted to get on the net and type!

Guest guest
Felicity - that is so funny that you say that - I too look at others to see if someone has hearing aids in! My daughter gets so excited when she sees a singer on television because she thinks they have hearing aids but I have to tell her no, those are just ear plugs so the music isn't so loud - she wants to know someone with her same disability so they can talk one on one. I do my best with her but she wants to find another girl that knows exactly what she is feeling and hearing! Some day we will! We are the same way. I spotted a CI on a child at a flea market and walked over to introduce myself, say hello, whatever (how rude and forward is that?) but they had moved on and I didn't spot them again. It's a big event drawing people from all over several counties, but seeing another child with any kind of assistive listening device is a rarity for us and I get all excited. (grin) So, I walk up and talk to them. Usually they are just as happy and surprised to find another D/HOH child. Jill
