Guest guest
Rita... I often do not post as I am no expert...however I have been dealing with feeding issues for over 13 years now - my three youngest all have an issue or two when it comes to food. My youngest is actually in feeding group to help him with some of his aversions. Kaden is growing well, and a good size for his age - but eats terribly. He has MAJOR reflux that we can just barely control...at 2 1/2 still drinks thickened watered down juice through a sippee cup. I can tell you that in our experience forcing a child is WRONG. You can only cause more aversion. My oldest son is 6 and so averted to food that he is now g-tube fed...has all the mechanics to eat just WILL NOT! I can feel your pain as Kaden will eat like 5 different " main things " - no fruit, no veggies, no meat......(occasionally will eat chicken nuggets and microwaved pepperoni...eeeewwww). As he is our fourth and we have dealt with so much (we are foster parents too - so we have seen a fair share of odd things), we do not stress over it...too much. But it does get tiresome trying to figure out what to feed him when he eats the same things day in and day out...things he ate when he was much younger he will now not eat??? Go figure. Just wanted to let you know that you are not alone and that I feel your pain... ~ Married to the world's greatest guy, & SAHM to; Mikayla (15) World's greatest teenager, compassionate, sensitive.
