Guest guest
rang this morning from the cf conference in Qld. He was just going to a lecture on 'new approaches to physio' . So I'll post what he tells me about it. He's been away 24hours and has rung home 4 times. Gee he loves us! KRISTY- He also is going to one this afternoon on Pulmyzime (sp?) so I'll let you know if there is any chance of it being released freely here. Guest guest
, What were they saying about reintroducing the carers allowance for us (at the function on Sunday) and do you think it will come back?I'm extremely skeptical but you never know........... Guest guest
You mentioned to Kristy that you would find out if Pulmozyme is being released freely here. Pulmozyme is already on the PBS and has been since about 1996 however there are certain criteria in Australia for one to use it. I believe the child must be five and over (in other words, capable of doing breathers). They are given it to trial for 1 month after which time their breathers must improve by 10 per cent other wise it will discontinue. However they may retry again after about six months. However if you mistakenly meant Tobi well then unfortunately it is still unavailable here. Hope this answers you question. Guest guest
Cathy, Thanks for correcting me. I ment both actually. I meant to have pulm. freely available with out all this criteria and to get Tobi in. Our specialist told me ages ago that he would rather take the Pulm. of PBS and put Tobi on as he said when he was in Denmark at conferences all the literature lent towards Tobi being better. cf conference > > > > rang this morning from the cf conference in Qld.
