Guest guest
We have a picture of Grace doing her sign for broccoli. They were discussing it at school apparently and when it was her turn to hold the broccoli, she held it up in front of her face and pinched her nose shut with her other hand! They took a picture and it's a keeper. Classic Grace who hates broccoli! I do like the tree - green - eat. I would understand that! Is this opening a discussion that shouldn't be discussed here? If it is, just say so. Cherie, Guilt is a heavy burden to carry! I'm actually writing an article on that. Examine where the guilt is coming from-- is it a choice that you feel deep down is not the right one, but your desire for a certain outcome are overriding it? Or is it a choice you feel is right for your child and family and pressure or influence from somewhere else is bringing on the guilt? Raising deaf and hard of hearing children is a journey, and one that is unique to every family. There are many factors that influence a choice and sometimes you have to explore a " wrong choice " to arrive at a right choice. The kids call that shrubs. Broccoli is called trees and cauliflower is called snowy trees. Gotta make dinner interesting somehow, I guess!
