Guest guest
Hello Ally and all of you guys who have helped me out there! Thanks for the great ideas! I've been getting some great feedback from people and it really helps. This is a really tough diet and they have changed the ratio a bit and raised it, so I'm " off " again on all my recipes. I don't know the conversions (yet), so I'm at my dietitians mercy. She's great, but I really need more recipes to make this work. My daughter ran and grabbed the watermelon I was cutting up and walked away for a second. She took quite a few bites and now I am off again. It's hard enough to get fat in her! I don't know how to fix the diet when she does those things. We are only in our second week and she's in " large " , but not " x-large " . I think that's what's making the difference in her seizures and everything. She's was really different right out of the hospital when her ketones were high. (I think) Could it be that her body is going through changes and it still could reject the diet? It seems she's back to the " normal " type seizures she was having. I'm hoping that she will kick back into the lighter or maybe no seizures after more time? Is anyone else finding that? Also...are the muffins really made with just a pinch of baking powder? ... or is there an Atkins mix that we can use? She LOVES pancakes and I've stayed far from anything in that area. I read about it in the mathews site, but as I am so new (an apparently not very bright) didn't catch the idea of how it puffed up that large??? Can anyone help me with all of this? Thanks so much again to all of you out there! , Sheridan's Mom At 07:58 PM 6/24/2004, you wrote: >hrmmm let me think. Does she like peanut butter? Guest guest
, the pancake recipe I gave you does use only a pinch of baking powder. They turn out more like crepes. We went to the mall today and I had crepes for lunch. kept looking over at mine to see what it was since it looked just like his. Some people have luck with the Atkins mixes, some don't. There are often a lot of hidden carbs in mixes in general but not always. Make sure if you do use a mix, that you use the actual carbs not the net carbs. Ummm I think that's all I know about mixes. Is there a particular recipe for something you're looking for? Ally New to Group & Diet --- Please Help!! > > > Hello out there! I've been reading all your postings, but now I > need some help.
