Guest guest
Just adding my $.02. The one thing that I would advise anyone to do is to keep in contact with your local Medicaid offices to see if any new waivers have come into play which may be applicable for your individual situation. New ones are put into place on a continual basis, and existing ones are tweaked on a regular basis to conform with federal and applicable state laws. As someone posted earlier, all waiver programs - indeed, all Medicaid programs - vary from state to state, since Medicaid is a " federal match-grant " program. The good thing is that the state agencies do talk to each other about what does and doesn't work - and the federal workers in charge of oversight of these programs really do care about our kids. I should know - my mom is one of those people. :-) Hugs to all, Kris Mom to (7 y.o., Profound/Complete SNL, Left Ear) and Ethan (6 y.o., hearing) PS - I got to meet Beckett back when her waiver had just been implemented. She was one heck of a kid. :-)
